XT 25TM SHINGLE

The best protection of its kind. Takes on the elements. Modestly priced, yet boastfully better.

Those are the plain facts...making XTTM 25 better protection than any other shingle in its product class. As a result of its tough fiber glass base, XT 25 is extra resistant to wind stress, which helps prevent tearing and blow-off.

The only thing basic about XT 25 is its price. This modestly priced shingle goes beyond the ordinary three-tab design. There are special sealant strips that use the sun's heat for additional weatherproofing. And, extra asphalt makes it a heavier, more durable shingle compared to other basic three-tab strip shingles. Add it all up and you'll know that XT 25 is an excellent value.

XT 25 is versatile also. Because moist cool and warm climates can encourage the growth of algae on asphalt shingles, XT 25 becomes FungusBuster® 25. CertainTeed has added copper granules to the shingle surface to protect against unsightly green and black streaks that result from algae and are especially noticeable on light-colored roofs. FungusBuster 25 comes to the rescue, though, to keep shingles looking their best. It has been designed to provide 25 years of protection against staining and discoloration by algae. With both XT 25 and FungusBuster 25, you are afforded a range of features: Three-tab asphalt shingle Fiber glass composition 225 lbs. per square (East Coast Region) 230 LB per square (Lake Central/North Central Regions) 25-year limited transferable warrantee - U.L. Class A and ASTM E108 Class A fire resistance UL wind resistance self-sealing (ASTM D3161) U.L. 997 wind label - 60 mph wind resistance High tear resistance (ASTM D3462) Conforms to BOCA building code requirements and CSA Standard A123.5-M90 Limited transferable warranty and SureStartTM protection are applicable in the United States and Canada; for products sold outside these areas, please refer to the International Warranty for specific details and limitations.
